Hong Kong, May 4, 2026 - Hong Kong AI Data Exchange (HKAIDX) co-organized "AI Certification, Adaptation & Valuation - Driving Hong Kong as an International AI & Data Industry Hub", a specialized seminar with the Hong Kong Productivity Council on April 29, 2026. The event brought together technology leaders, investment decision-makers, & industry experts for an in-depth & insightful exchange on core strategic issues in the era of enabling artificial intelligence in Hong Kong, covering trust establishment, scenario-based adaptation, & value realization.
Mr. Daniel Yau, Senior Vice President of Intertek Testing Services Hong Kong Ltd., opened the seminar by analyzing the latest evolution of global AI certification & governance frameworks, illustrating how professional certification can transform compliance requirements into core trust assets & market differentiation advantages. Mr. Herman Chow, Head of Smart Health, Energy & Testing at the Hong Kong Productivity Council, drew on extensive practical experience to explore how enterprises can shift from superficial adoption to genuine fit-for-purpose strategies through precise scenario adaptation & rigorous operational validation, significantly enhancing implementation effectiveness & long-term value creation.
HKAIDX Chairlady, Ms. Cadence Law, & one of the Founding Members, Mr. Alan Lam, presented the strategic framework "From Data Debt to Data Alpha.", emphasizing that, amid the surging AI wave, data is evolving from fragmented, high-cost liabilities into strategic core assets capable of scientific valuation, secure circulation, & financing. They also systematically highlighted Hong Kong’s strong potential to become a leading cross-border data circulation & trading hub in the Asia-Pacific region by leveraging its unique institutional advantages, status as an international financial centre, & strategic geographic position.
